Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have had this bad taste and smell and a sore throat on the left side of my throat for about a little more than a month. First I went to Med Express and they gave me a prescription for an antibiotic I took that and still had no change. They suggested a ENT so I went to the ENT in which he prescribed another antibiotic I took for 21 days and a steroid for 12 days no real changes got a bill from the ENT for 1005.00 because he used this thing he looked in my nose to see into my sinuses with a little scope. Didn t go back because I couldn t afford more bills like that. Oh after the insurance adjustments it was 573.40. But still have this and my eyes feel like they are dry and feels like they burn because of this thing going on. I would appreciate any recamendations I m going to my regular doctor on Monday afternoon just what can I ask her. I really want this to go away. Thank you
appears tobe tonsilitis and involvment of olfactory nerve effecting smell and taste. consult neurologist for examination and advise on treatment involvment of sinus can be ruled out. donot go on changing treatment without diagnosis. second opinion can be taken.
